it's unfortunate that computer manufacturers made a decision, en masse apparently--with the exception of Apple of course--to install Microsoft software
on their products without the purchaser having anything to say about it. Word 2007 is the worst thing to hit computers since viruses the equivalent of the bubonic plague. Go online. It is universally DESPISED. The only people who have anything good to say about it are those who love overly complicated, geek-oriented, 1,000 steps when 1 will do software. 2003 was usable. This 2007 program is not. There is so much unnecessary goop on it that prevents you from getting from ground zero to where you want to go without clicking on 8 buttons
before you get there--used to be max. of two. NOW we have Internet Explorer refusing to download Firefox, or if you are able by surreptitious ways to get it downloaded, it will be attacked. You cannot make it your default home page as a browser without disconnecting IE. Besides the fact practically everything delivered to your computer that's necessary connects through that system. In recent times, you may have experienced "cannot connect to this site" from IE.
MANY of them. If you have successfully installed Firefox, or something similar, and have gotten it to work in spite of Bill Gates' nasty invasive minions, it will open ANY site including those refused by IE.
So? What's going on with this crap? I can tell you: Bill Gates said there's
nothing wrong with being number one as long as you make sure no one else can be.
There is such a huge upswelling of hatred against this monopolistic megalomaniac and his products that you can count on a rebellion of some sort--that will be successful. So far even the mighty Supreme Court hasn't been able to stop this greedy bastard and his corp of creeps in Washington St.
This is more than 2 cents worth and I hope it irritates the living shit out of the M'soft supporters out there. The ONLY way you can be supportive is if you're on Gates' payroll. Are you?
