Had a drive crash and while re-installing Office I'm told the product key is fake. This is THREE YEARS after I bought the product and have used it just fine.

Microsoft's Options: Supply purchase documentation (3 years later? Really?) and MAYBE get a new key or...wait for it...wait for it...BUY A NEW VERSION OF OFFICE.

This after speaking with 5 call center agents and a "manager" that convinced me Microsoft doesn't have a single call center agent who speaks English as a first language. I especially LOVED "Amber" from Mumbai!

OpenOffice, here I come.

How true it is!!!! I too have been a Windows supporter since DOS and have argued and fought anyone who said different. Windows 8 SUCKS!!! They won't give me my money back. They want me to PAY to fix THEIR SHITTY PRODUCT. None of my programs I paid hundreds of dollars for work! Even though they are made for windows 8. Visual C++ Redistributable won't even install on my machine and they tell me to call ACER! HOW THE HELL IS ACER GOING TO HELP ME WITH THEIR SHITTY PRODUCT!?!?!? MSN Messenger was a relatively decent piece of software out there, that ran pretty well, and notified the user when a new e-mail came in, etc... .

What do they do ? they shut it down and force people to go to Skype. Skype is a great product - I already had an account there, however I have *NO* interest in importing all my MSN contacts into it.

Why not keep MSN, and simply make it interface with Skype or consider it a Skype add-on from a development perspective ? A company with this may resources should really make more of an effort to *IMPROVE* their image and make their userbase happy - and not by forcing them to do things that they don't want to.

Little by little they keep alienating their userbase. I'm not sure I'm quite to the level of 'dislike' as some people on this forum, but man - are they ever good at loosing fans.

I have a mac at work and used to have 2 macs at home. I have been forced over the years to use PCs and now have a PC at home that was given to me for free. It was not worth what a paid for it. Microsoft has goten progresively worse over the years. ANyone who says that PCs are better has obviously not used a mac or any other computer. If they had, they would take their PC and drag it around behind their car. PCs suck, Microsfot SUCKS.

That too was my turning point, my friend. Switched to Mac in '09 and have never, EVER looked back and I guarantee you I NEVER will. I am a hardcore Mac fiend now.

Used Pro Tools on a PC in 2009 with some ass-kicking hardware. Spent all sorts of money and time (way more $$$ overall then the price of a new Mac) trying to get the crap working in Windows. High end sound cards, ASIO drivers, all sorts of shit.

Had about 11 tracks of audio recorded after I got it all working together. An entire WEEKEND of work. Got up for a cup of joe. When I got back to my PC, I was greeted with a black screen and a blinking cursor. EVERY LAST BIT OF MY WORK WAS GONE.

I sold the hardware on Craigslist cheap and bought a shiny new Mac mini. Couldn't be happier.

Any moron who wears his Windows badge like a badge of honor and talks shit about a Mac environment doesn't know his/her ass from the proverbial hole in the ground. You'll never see a Mac user running back to their lovely Windows machines with all their inherent problems and money vampire ways.

No, I'm NOT a 'fanboy' or 'Appletard'. I just know something better. Something way way way way better when U use it and I try to tell everybody about it.
