FYI on VISTA Spell-Check Malfunction...
1. The problem is in the Microsoft program BUT Microsoft won’t service you IF the program was installed on the computer prior to purchase. They passed the buck back to HP even thoguh they know the quick fix solution. Jerks!
2. This problem is well known to Vista users and Microsoft…as well as HP though HP is slower to fix it because they are not trained on MS programs…they have to stop and read the manual provided them by Microsoft.
3. It doesn’t matter if the issue is in word or outlook the fix requires you go to MS Mail. STRANGE but this is how it must be done according to the MS manual , the same one they refused to open for me when I called.
4. In MS Mail you go to options and change the language to anything other than what is being used and click apply. Then you change it back to English and click apply again. duh????
5. That is it, nothing else needs to be done in other applications... spell checks will now work in Outlook, MS Mail and Word at that point.
6. This is stupid & I hate MS!
